Surprise a Senior was developed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We wanted to make sure that all of the elderly folks we have helped in the past would receive something during this trying time. We decided to keep this program going through out the year.

Our team had so much fun meeting the community, serving a snack, handing out supplies, and getting to know everyone better. Our founder, Cheryl, even went door to door to personally invite everyone down to meet us.

 

2021 Surprise a Senior!

In 2021, we handed out over 600 or more bags and heading in 2022 our goal is to surprise at least two buildings or groups a month. Our season for SAS will run January through July – which allows us to train and prepare for our next program in August.

Moving forward we would love to partner with business and groups to help us fill the bags along with making plans to hand out the bags to our seniors. Hosting a small party, purchasing snacks to be handed out or just having small groups come with us to help hand out the bags door to door if needed or to socialize with our seniors.
